Hi, I'm so glad you're here.
I’m Dr Kirsty Deas, but please just call me Kirsty.
As a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience within mental health services, I am dedicated to the work I do. I am committed to enabling individuals to live a more fulfilling life, by helping them move in the direction of their values and goals.
Qualified Clinical Psychologist
I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Southampton in 2011. This core training has laid a solid foundation for my career as a Clinical Psychologist. My Clinical Psychology training enables me to work flexibly, adapting a broad range of approaches to the needs of a variety of client groups including children and adolescents, adults of working age, older adults and individuals with learning disabilities. Following qualification, I have spent most of my career in NHS adult Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), progressing to Principal Clinical Psychologist. Other post-qualification roles included working for an NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service, an Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service, and an inpatient Ministry of Defence Unit. I also enjoyed a role as a Clinical Supervisor of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) trainees at the University of Southampton.
I made the difficult decision to leave the NHS, leaving in January 2020. I have worked as an Associate of private practices such Hampshire & Surrey Psychology and HelloSelf, and now my focus is seeing clients through my own private practice Concordia Psychological Services Ltd.
